Telugu Movies 2017: Movies worth watching
Movies are always an experience to me. Some movies provide comedy, some thrills, some scare you, some filled with awesome action, some are dramatic, some make you emotional, some introduce you to a fantasy world. A good movie always offers you an immersive experience and I bet you are not in this world when you are still watching that good movie I am talking about and You float over the time such could the experience.
Coming to the Telugu movies, though there are a lot of masala(a proven commercially successful movie making formula) movies I wouldn't say they are not made to offer any experience. There has been a lot of change in the movie making and the change is towards giving the viewer a best possible experience, gladly. Though Telugu movies are not without songs/dance sequence and illogical fight sequences, which a whole lot of people out there treat as distractions or experience interfering, I am bit linient towards them, especially when the movie is a long one. Anyways, talking about the experience being offered I think Telugu movies slowly falling back on the track of the good old proud Telugu movies.
Note that I meant a feature films where ever I mentioned movie, also please only consider every part of this post as my opinion. I am against number ranking a movie as I said movie is an experience to me and each movie offers different a experience which can't be compared with that offered by the other ones. That being said, the order that follows is the order they came to my mind as I am writing this post.
Bahubali 2: You would experience a fantasy world and a lot of heroism backed by good art, music and good technical values(never had this VFX value in Indian cinema). Rajamouli mark emotional and heroic scenes brings you chills in a few scenes.
Arjun Reddy: Experience a new age, bold and intense movie. A well written plot backed by good screenplay and camera intelligence, Sundeep reddys direction, intensity of the performing lead actors, a lot of deep detailing of things, a realistic approach, all these backed by a good background soundtrack makes you feel that you are watching a biography of the (alpha male) lead character.
Fidaa: A feel good movie from the good old sekhar kammula. Wouldn't call it a girl power movie but it gave a amount of time and importance to the girl of the movie. A cute movies with a girls perspective and her side of things. The telanga dialect and sai pallavi's performance are worth a mention here.
Satamanam Bhavati: Not a very fresh movie, but good family movie which makes you nostalgic of few things from your childhood and about sankranti festival.
Ghazi: A good action thrillers. you will enjoy the performances of Rana, atul kulkarni and kay kay menon. One of those movies that offered that experience I was talking about.
Nene Raju Nene Mantri: A political thriller by teja. A teja mark serious film with no unnecessay masala.
Samanthakamani: A worth watching suspense thriller with very no or less unwanted masala.
Guru: A very well made sports drama though it is a remake. Sticking to the story and performances of venkatesh and Rithika sing and different approach in dialogue delivery gives you an experience.
